Terra is the origin of dwelling. Inside urban verticality, the apartment finds Brazilian matter — native woods, stone, linen — and reveals the Brazilian way of inhabiting heights.

The project develops from an exercise in transition — not only geographic, but sensory. Located in the Zen building by Bidezzi, in Curitiba, it was conceived to receive a couple coming from a life deeply connected to nature: a farm in the outskirts of Palmas, Tocantins.

With approximately 260 to 270 m², the apartment offers a generous scale, but still distant from the openness and spatial freedom of a house in rural landscape. From this condition, the main directive was clear: transform the apartment into a space that preserves, as much as possible, the essence of living in a house. The strategy is based on building an atmosphere.

Materiality takes the central role — woods in natural tones, surfaces in earthy palette, and nuances ranging between terracotta, beige, and warm tones. These elements not only define the aesthetic: they function as a direct bridge to the residents' affective memory, translating into the urban setting what was once experienced on the farm. Integration between rooms was worked to amplify the sense of continuity, reducing typical apartment compartmentalization.

The relationship with the exterior is a key point: privileged view of one of Curitiba's most valued areas, near Parque Barigui. The presence of external green is incorporated into the interior, through visual framings and the introduction of vegetation in the very space. Contemporary technological solutions integrate discreetly, ensuring comfort and practicality without interfering with the aesthetic language. Terra balances memory and contemporaneity — a space that welcomes a new stage of life, preserving essential references.
